Syed Farukh Mazhar has been elected as President of the Marketing Association of Pakistan following the Annual General Meeting and Council Elections of the Association held on March 12, 2008.

Mr. Mazhar, a Chartered Accountant, has 26 years of professional experience. He is a very active member of business community. He heads SGS Pakistan, the world leading inspection, testing, verification and certification company. Mr. Mazhar also holds the positions of Vice President, Swiss Business Council, Secretary General, Pak-Sri Lanka Business Forum, Director, Pak-UAE Business Forum, Chairman – Awards Committee of 21st Century Business and Economic Club and is a member of the Foreign Investment Committee of FPCCI. He also represented the business community during the 9th Joint Ministerial Commission Meeting of UAE and Pakistan. As Chairman of the Research and Development Committee of MAP he introduced an MBA Programme for Advertising and Communication in collaboration with College of Business Management. He is also a past President of Rotary Club of Karachi Centennial.
